Annie

Annie Holman, originally from Maine, is the owner and (CEO+CMO) of The Galley, a Cannabis Co-Manufacturing facility in Santa Rosa, CA. With 25 successful years as a prior owner of a Graphic Design/PR firm, Annie knows how to cultivate thriving business alliances.

Her interest in the Cannabis industry began when her good friend bet on exactly the right horse in the 2015 Kentucky Derby. This resulted in a boatload of cash. Her friend handed over her winnings and said, “lets start a medical cannabis bakery”. So they did. California-based Derby Bakery Cannabis Edibles was born.

Derby Bakery produced high-end products, claimed awards, and won numerous “Emerald Cup – Best Edibles” honors. They also swept up first and second place prizes from “Edibles List – Best of Awards.”

Annie’s latest endeavor is The Galley. Its nautical name invokes images of tall ships, mermaids and sea-lore, which both captivates and resonates with her. Annie connects deeply with all things related to water. She likes diving in headfirst, swimming to the other side, drying herself off and starting all over again.

On Shore: The Galley’s impressive 8,300 ft. facility is a one-stop-manufacturing-shop. With a large-scale commercial kitchen, production runs of cannabis edibles, candy, chocolate, topicals and tinctures, small beverages and beauty products roll off the line daily.

Value-added services range from R&D to formulations and recipe creation. Package design and sourcing, label compliance review, SOP writing and product storage is offered as well.

The Galley holds a Type N Manufacturing and Type 11 distribution license, (to assist their customers to fulfill their products to retail). In addition, they are registered as a Type S Shared Space.

Living in Sonoma County CA, for 38 years, Annie Holman fully embraces life and has fun with it. She is a free spirit in the most wonderful of ways. With her natural charm and charisma Annie is a born leader, which serves her well as she launches the Galley on the next leg of what is sure to be a very exciting and fulfilling voyage.

Full birth name: Annie Holman

Title: CEO / Founder

Company: The Galley

Years at current company: 3.5

Most successful professional accomplishment before cannabis:

Owner of a Artgirl Graphic Design Firm from 1987 to 2020. In 2015, I co-founded Derby Bakery, a cannabis medical Bakery with 4 SKUS. Our Peanut Butter Cups took 2nd place and our Lucky Lemon Cookie 8ths place in the Edibles category at the 2016 Emerald Cup. We also won best new edible brand at the Edibles list competition. We served the medical community: many end of life patients or terminally ill – it was incredibly gratifying.

Company Mission: (The Galley) Our goal is to be the premier cannabis contract manufacturer in the State of California. Our focus is people-first. We value our customers and strive to make deep and authentic connections. The Galley is dedicated to nurturing, mentoring, and growing partnerships.

MORE BACK GROUND

The Galley, built to FDA and CDPH standards, is a “one stop shop” Cannabis Co-Manufacturing and Distribution facility in Santa Rosa, California. We can produce edibles, topicals, tinctures, beauty products, chocolate, hard candies, gummies, pre-rolls, flower packing and beverages. We do what we do best— we make great cannabis products for some of the top brands in California.

We do it all, from R&D and formulation to fulfillment and distribution. The Galley can assist your brand with: product development (including infusions), R&D, SOP’s, ingredient / cannabis sourcing, packaging resources, graphic design, label compliance review, testing and more! We also have our own Distribution License to help you fulfill your product to retail.

Company’s most successful achievement:

The Galley launched directly as COVID came into our lives; we have stayed in business over the last year and ½, kept the most of the crew employed, and produced 50,000 bottles of hand sanitizer to distribute though out the Sonoma County community.

Post COVID, we are building a strong roster of long term existing cannabis brands, launching new brands, as well as assisting the legacy brands in CA as they re-enter the market. The OG built the path The Galley walks on and we aim to get them grounded and established in the regulated market.

Has the company raised any capital (yes or no):  Yes.

if so, how much?: $5 Million

Any plans on raising capital in the future? Maybe

Most important company 5 year goal:

Culling and developing mutually beneficial relationships for the long-term. Building our distribution / sales team and re-launching our event center.
