On April 28, 2022, Green Market Report held its first-ever Women’s Summit. During the event, the Women’s Leadership Awards were announced and presented to the winners. Over the next two weeks, we will highlight each of these winners and congratulate them on their contributions to the cannabis industry.

Shawna’s cannabis experience is unparalleled, working from the inception of adult-use in Colorado to bring cannabis messaging to the national stage. She has deep experience representing various sectors, including biotech, agribusiness, sustainable technologies, renewable energy, associations, the regulated cannabis industry and media companies.
Shawna established MPR with a mission to provide big agency expertise with outstanding client service by a team of seasoned communications professionals. Shawna aspires to be a supportive leader that positions her team for growth and success. She endeavors to give back to the industry and is widely respected in her field. MPR has been recognized as one of the most effective cannabis agencies in the cannabis industry according to Green Market Report, The Observer, Cannabis Industry Journal, MG magazine and The Cannabist. McGregor is a member of PRSA, where she serves on the DEI committee and earned a certificate in Reputation Management. She is also a member of the Crisis Ready Institute and NIRI.
Shawna cares about giving back. She has provided pro bono work for Cannabis Certification Council and Cannabis Doing Good. She served on Denver’s Sustainability Working Group and as a committee member for Denver Press Club. She has organized a marketing group of the leading cannabis brands in Colorado since late 2017. She serves on the boards of the Publicity Club of New York and Saving Dobermankind. Previously served on the Climate Ride Board and has volunteered for Big Brothers/Sisters and Fresh Air Fund.
